Start with the stock pickup or pickups for each bass model and set the volume balance independently for each. Want a different pickup in the neck position? No problem. There are 32 individual pickup models to choose from, each with its own tonal characteristics and personality. You can also freely move the pickups around in the pickup area providing you with virtually limitless options. Experiment with different pickups, different pickup positions and different playing positions all at the same time. With MODO BASS, you can create combinations that would be virtually impossible to accomplish without a lot of solder and wiring adjustments!
Adjust the overall pickup output with the tone control, just like the tone control on the physical bass. You can switch the electronics from Passive to Active, and doing so gives you access to an additional parametric EQ that lets you fine-tune your tone for the perfect balance.
MODO BASS offers 22 unique bass instruments to create exactly the right bass sound for your music. Under the MODEL tab you can browse through the different basses. MODO BASS 2.0 has expanded options with the addition of 2 fretless basses, 2 double basses and the freedom to make any bass a fretless*.
When the first version came out, I started using it immediately in preference to some sampled bass libraries I had on hand. It takes a very small amount of space while offering a very realistic sound.
The first version of Modo Bass offered 14 different bass models. Now we have 22 models in total. Make no mistake, they all sound very realistic. As a result, all you need to do more or less is to browse through the models and find the one that matches the general color of your song.
The biggest improvement in version 2, at least for my purposes, is the Pattern section, where we can find a great number of different patterns with more than user-friendly search filters sorted by Genre, Section, Playstyle and Length. It would be just perfect if there would be a bit more patterns for the fretless bass models.

The reports I see showing the incredible number of people who bought it yesterday beg to differ. We have audio and video demos available for all the basses. And of course to go through this yet again: you are not "paying again" for everything.
This feature seems to make having to scroll past the new locked basses worth the extra effort, but the CS version might not have this feature. (I couldn't get it to work.) I'd be interested in knowing if anyone can add user bass MIDI files.

String customizationIK painstakingly studied and recreated all the factors that affect string tone and performance. Players can choose the number of strings on the bass, the construction type and material of the strings (round or flat wound), the gauge and age, plus the physical action height of above the fretboard. It is possible to choose the number of strings on all the models (4, 5 or 6) to determine the note scale range of the bass. In MODO BASS any 4-string model can be turned into a 5 or 6 string bass at a click of a mouse. The DROP option tunes the lowest string one note lower, bringing it from E to D (or from B to A in the case of a 5 or 6 string setup). Apart from extending the range of the bass, this reduces the tension of the string giving it a unique behavior and tone. DROP tuning is typical in Hard Rock and Metal. 041b061a72
